WSC Liberec 2009

FIS World Ski Championship belongs with its extend and importance to the biggest world sport events. From 18. February to 1. March, twenty sets of medals will be given in Liberec to sportsmen in three disciplines – Cross-Country, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined.

There are four main areas in the organization of the Championship – the Resort and Sports Facility Vesec, Sports Facility Ještěd, Multiple-function Sports Hall Tipsport Arena and the historic town center of Liberec with Dr. Edvard Beneš Square. Cross-country disciplines will take place in Vesec, ski jumps in Ještěd, the Sports Hall Tipsport Arena should create technical background for the steering committee and media and the ceremony will be organized at Dr. Edvard Beneš Square.

In 2008, the main series of test competitions in the frame of FIS WSC will be held in Vesec and Ještěd.
